Description
Machine learning is easier to grasp with a guided, hands-on introduction, and that is what this fundamentals course provides using Microsoft Azure. Aimed squarely at newcomers, it walks through the fundamental workings of machine learning (ML) on the Azure platform.
The course uses a flipped-classroom model with hands-on learning, so participants experience the material directly as they go rather than only watching lectures, and preview lectures set expectations up front.
It is intended for beginner IT students curious about Azure machine learning and anyone who wants to understand how ML works at a fundamental level; big data specialists, network engineers, developers, and programmers can also use it to enhance their skill sets. It is explicitly not designed for experienced data science students. Knowledge of basic statistical concepts is desirable but not required, and a Microsoft Azure account, which requires a credit card to create, is needed for the hands-on portions. Run time is approximately 90 minutes.
A low-pressure entry point to a field that can otherwise feel impenetrable.
