Enhancing SEL Instruction with IvySCIP

In this module, we talk about the 5 key domains of social and emotional learning and why explicit social and emotional learning instruction is particularly critical for our students with social cognition challenges, including autism, ADHD, and anxiety disorders.

The 5 key domains covered in the IvySCIP assessment are: Self Awareness and Advocacy, Social Interaction, Emotional Regulation, Executive Skills and Critical Thinking, and Self Care.

In this module you will learn what you should do to prepare for administering the IvySCIP and tips for how to best complete the IvySCIP assessment.

In this module, we will focus on the three reports generated by the results of your IvySCIP assessment. We will look at what each report is telling you, how to interpret the information, and where to begin instruction based on the information.

In this module, we talk about how you can develop SMART goals and conduct progress monitoring using the annual IvySCIP strengths and needs assessment and data collection tools which are included as part of the IvySCIP package.

 A SMART goal refers to a goal that is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely.

In this module, we will review the evidenced based collection of instructional strategies offered by the program. These are evidenced based teaching strategies that will not only support your teaching of the target social and emotional skills but enhance instruction in other areas.
