Researh should strive for equitable distribution of the risks and potential benefits of the study among its participants. This means that investigators are treating the groups involved in the research fairly and justly. But there are challenges to achieving an equitable distribution of benefits and burdens that investigators must be mindful of. One must ensure that the participants of the research are not unduly burderned and that they reflect the diversity of the population which may benefit from the results of the study.
This course covers the informed consent process of human subject research. It emphasizes on the inclusion of women, minorities, and children in researches.
